Job Description

A Community Heart & Soul Project Coordinator manages resident-driven civic engagement processes, guiding day-to-day operations, event planning, and volunteer teams to align local planning with community values. Positions typically require part-time hours (up to 20 hours/week) and focus on outreach, storytelling, and administrative tracking.

Core Responsibilities

• Project Management: Map and execute phased work plans, track milestones, and maintain project records.

• Community Outreach: Design and host public storytelling events, manage communication strategies, and serve as the public face of the initiative.

• Volunteer Management: Recruit, orient, train, and motivate local volunteers.

• Collaboration: Partner with municipal leaders, local foundations, and the official Community Heart & Soul network.

Key Requirements

• Skills: Strong public speaking, active listening, event planning, and digital/social media competence.

• Experience: Background in community engagement, public outreach, or project administration.

• Logistics: Flexible schedule with occasional night or weekend commitments, plus a valid driver's license.
